Hand Embroidered Purses

01.Tawny Amulet, 2-3/4 x 4" in size. Made of old brocade, fibers, hand dyed lace and a vintage print. Long neckcord. Has a flap and is lined.
02.Vintage gypsy pouch. vintage gypsy pouch 5x4". Colors from a gysy camp, burnished rust, red and olive.
Lined and with a long neck cord. Pretty collaged fabrics, old laces, silk print layered with tulle and lots of beading and stitchery. Delicate and delightful.
03.Buttercup pouch 3-3/4 x 6". Dupionni silk with an Italian silk print on the front. Adorned with stitchery, laces and trims. Lined and with a long neck cord. Has a flap and double silk ribbon shoulder strap.

04. Hope is a brooch made from a watch crystal, collage elements and surrounded by rainbow color rhinestones. Approx 1 1/2' in size.
05. Bad Gal bag. 7x9" Tongue in cheek bag made of collaged animal prints, silk and vintage trims.The silk postcard print is hand colored, the bad gal is smoking and a wine glass is nearby.This roomy bag is trimmed with eyelash yarn and a vintage brooch.It is lined with a pocket and lots of extras. Long shoulder strap.
06. Think pink..Very lovely collaged purse, 6x8". Colors are like spent roses. Hand created velvet flowers, old laces, beads, sequins and a feather adorn the silk print.
Fully lined and on a long neck cord.
07.Plumeria. This is the flower of the Islands and is a purse 7 x 7" in size. Made of green and rust damask fabric, fully lined and with a long shoulder cord. The applique is accented with golden thread and there is tassel fringe at the lower end and velour trim at the top. A slik print, some old lace trim and a ribbon flower add to the serene design.

Collaged and Embellished Birthday/Art Card

08. Mango Amulet. Pink and grey amulet with long neck cord. Has novelty fringe beading and the words from the music Whispering Hope.
09. Fresco. Hand embroidered purse with the colors of an Italian hill town. Hand dyed silk and velvet with old gold braid, stitchery, beads, and lace butterfly. Small card pocket on reverse side. Fully lined with a long shoulder cord. The effect of the stitchery is very dimensional and places the silk print into a lovely relief. 7x7"
10. Glass Collage. Collage under glass hanging from a rhinestone loop.Charming for an ornament or to wear.
1 1/2" square.
11.Sepia Watch crystal. Collage that is a brooch, sepia photos with some stars. Rhinestones surround the edge.
12. Family Days. Watch crystal brooch with collage. Surrounded by rhinestones and has an old button at the top.
13. Summer rose. Hand dyed silk purse with rose applique and imported rose beads. Completed with old lace trim and fringe I crocheted from several different toning yarns. The design is finished with embroidered roses and leaves. Fully lined with a long shoulder cord it is 7x7" plus the 3" fringe. Colors are like the fading roses of Summer.
14. Retro Mode. 8- 1/2 x 7-1/2". This flapped purse is a reminder of the 40's with a retro silk print decorated with fibers and beading. The fabrics are a collage of batik, 'shot' silky and old trims. Colors are dark greens and golds. Lined and has a long shoulder cord.

"Wings" Cigar box purse
Linda Mitcheltree has created this beautiful "Wings" Cigar box purse made from a real wood Ashton cigar box. Decorated on both sides with vintage images, stickers, roses from wrapping paper andcatalogs and charms. Finished with 7 coats of polyurethane to protect the "art collage purse" as you use it! Lined with rose print fabric and has an antique brass handle. Dimensions 6 1/2" High X 6 3/4" Long X 2 1/4" Deep.
