Made for my Artezine Cafe yahoo group's Trash Outside the Box swap challenge. I collaged a dimensional object with old papers and saved favorites. I decided to use up a Collage Stuff collage sheet and tell a story, a little vignette. It took 3x longer than I'd planned, and proved to be the hardest thing I've done so far, but I'm so in love with it that I almost kept it for myself! (repeating: I can make another one, I can make another one). I used a Basic Grey Matchbook Kit to make my own templates and cut the book out from scratch using my own cardstock. Every page was collaged using several layers of papers and old chocolates wrappers and gel medium; then each page base was sealed with Diamond Glaze. The few bare surfaces at folds were inked with Colorbox Chalk inks. I used 7Gypsies gaffer tape on most of the outer folds. Eyelets were added to the book top and various fibers and ribbons were laced thru and tied. Gel penning and inking rounded out the details, plus a lot of cutting out of the text. I adhered most everything that's on top of the sealed pages with my Xyron.
